Certified Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Multispecialty Outpatient Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities

Perform quality surgical coding and maintain accuracy in coding services documented in patient charts

Work daily on the review queue to ensure timely processing of charts and corrections as needed

Provide accurate responses to coding and billing inquiries from physicians and hospitals within specified timeframes

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED

One recognized professional coding certification (CPC, RHIT, RHIA, or CCS)

Successful completion of a training course beyond apprentice level for medical technicians or related fields

Must maintain professional credentials throughout employment

Experience with multiple EMR and / or Practice Management systems is preferred
