National, award winning results-driven plaintiff litigation firm that represents tens of thousands of clients in personal injury litigation, civil litigation, and mass torts including product liability, dangerous drugs and defective medical products is seeking a Construction Accident Litigation Attorney to join a growing construction accident practice in their New York, NY office . Ideal candidates will also have experience in New York Labor Law. The firm values independence, efficiency, and fierce advocacy for injured workers. This position focuses on representing injured workers in complex personal injury cases stemming from construction site accidents, including falls, scaffolding and ladder incidents, falling objects and other site-related hazards. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and tech-savvy with moderate litigation experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities Include :
- Case Management : Independently handle a caseload of construction-related injury claims from intake through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, negotiations, and trial prep.
- Client Representation : Advocate for clients throughout the legal process—draft pleadings, participate in depositions, attend hearings, and support or lead trial work when necessary.
- Investigation & Strategy : Evaluate accident circumstances, gather and review evidence, identify safety failures, and build strong, fact-based legal strategies.
- Legal Drafting : Prepare legal documents including complaints, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements with accuracy and timeliness.
- Client Communication : Maintain frequent, professional communication with clients, providing updates, answering questions, and managing expectations.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants—remotely and in person—to ensure smooth case progression and positive outcomes.
- Technology : Utilize modern legal software and tools to manage cases, meet deadlines, and streamline workflows in both remote and in-office environments
Qualifications
Must have a J.D. from an accredited law schoolMust be licensed and in good standing to practice law in New YorkMust have 3–5 years of litigation experience, preferably handling construction site or serious personal injury casesMust have familiarity with construction site safety standards and industry practicesBilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not requiredMust be self-motivated and capable of working without close supervisionMust be detail-oriented and deadline-drivenMust be a clear communicator and team collaboratorMust be passionate about representing injured workers and achieving resultsSkills :
