Duties include but not limited to: will conduct phone interview of patients/family members for demographic and insurance data into EPIC computer system; provide information and directions to patients; verify Medicaid, Medicare and HMO accounts. Will participate in cross training in other Patient Access Services (PAS) areas. Provide clerical support duties including answering telephones, filing, copying, etc. and complete other duties as assigned. Must be able to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks effectively in a timely and accurate manner and function under stressful situations. Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills are necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
One year full-time clerical, secretarial or patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
