A leading AmLaw 50 firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its highly-regarded Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Practice Group . This is an exceptional opportunity to advise on cutting-edge privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity matters in connection with sophisticated corporate and technology transactions across a broad range of industries.

Candidate Profile

JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record .

Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction , in good standing.

2–5 years of substantive experience advising on privacy , data processing , or cybersecurity issues in connection with corporate and technology transactions , including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), public offerings, and other commercial and strategic deals.

Experience with M&A , capital markets , technology transactions , or other transactional work is required .

Background in technology industries , regulatory policy , and enforcement is highly desirable .

CIPP certification is a plus .

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Advise clients on privacy , data protection , and cybersecurity matters in connection with complex corporate and technology transactions.

Provide guidance on regulatory compliance , risk mitigation , and data governance strategies .

Work closely with deal teams to address privacy and cybersecurity considerations in M&A , public offerings , and strategic alliances .

Assist clients operating in innovative sectors, including artificial intelligence , machine learning , cloud computing , software , and fintech .

Draft, review, and negotiate privacy and data protection provisions in transactional documents .

Support clients in responding to regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions related to data and cybersecurity matters.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Salary : $235,000 – $365,000 , commensurate with experience and class year.

Discretionary merit bonus eligibility .
