Must-Have :

• Traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance.
• A Basic Dysrhythmia test will be given in the first week of the assignment.
• This test must be passed in order to work on the telemetry / med surg unit.

Description :

Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members.

Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.

Provides high-quality care to the following patient populations : geriatric, medical / surgical, adult, and telemetry.

Telemetry ratios are currently 1 : 5 on days and 1 : 6 on nights.

Floating is a requirement in acute care units and is always required for any non-critical care inpatient units including to the emergency department if there are boarded patients.

Required every 3rd weekend rotation.

EMR is Cerner.
