Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Head of Strategic Accounts to lead cross-functional engagement across medical, market access, marketing, and sales teams in the hematology / oncology space.
Reporting to the CEO, this role is pivotal to ensuring coordinated, consistent, and impactful account management with top-tier treatment centers, institutions, and KOLs.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Account Leadership Develop and execute the strategic account management framework to ensure seamless collaboration between medical, market access, commercial, and marketing functions.
Act as the single point of accountability for priority accounts, ensuring consistent engagement strategies and tailored solutions.
Build, implement, and oversee account plans that integrate field medical insights, market access and marketing initiatives, and sales objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with cross functional leadership to align messaging, resources, and engagement activities.
Drive a “one company” approach in customer interactions by orchestrating cross-functional contributions without duplication or misalignment.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations in all cross-functional engagements.
Stakeholder Engagement & Thought Leadership Strengthen relationships with top KOLs, academic centers, and community networks, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
Identify and leverage new opportunities for collaboration with thought leaders, including joint projects, advisory roles, and educational initiatives.
Guide the team in translating scientific and clinical insights into account-level strategies.
Performance & Execution Define and track KPIs for strategic accounts, ensuring impact is measurable across patient access, prescriber adoption, and perception metrics.
Anticipate and address challenges in account execution, ensuring continuous improvement.
Report regularly to senior leadership on account performance, opportunities, and risks.
Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field required, advanced degree strongly preferred 20+ years experience in hematology oncology, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role Proven track record of strategic account management with the ability to drive collaboration across functions Deep relationships with thought leaders and treatment networks (TLL experience a plus) Strong understanding of US compliance regulations and requirements Exceptional communication skills Benefits of working with our team PharmaEssentia USA strives every day to improve the lives of patients as well as our employees.
