Role Overview
The L2 Team Systems Analyst provides second-level support and light systems administration for local and regional environmentsowning escalations from L1, partnering with L3, and leading small projects that keep infrastructure and endpoints running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver courteous, timely support to end users; log and track all work in the ticketing system
- Administer and troubleshoot local infrastructure : hypervisors, switches, routers / firewalls, backup servers
- Support endpoint hardware / software using best practices; collaborate with peers / management on complex issues
- Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, peripherals, and standard software images
- Serve as escalation point for L1 and as a de-escalation bridge to L3
- Act as technical lead on select local / regional initiatives and acquisitions
- Participate daily in the L2 support queue and contribute to knowledge articles / runbooks
Qualifications & Experience
15 years in an end-user facing technical support or systems / admin roleExperience supporting distributed / remote users preferredAssociate degree in a computer-related field; bachelors preferred (relevant certs considered)Comfortable with core infra concepts : virtualization, switching, routing / firewalls, backupsStrong troubleshooting, documentation, and ticket hygiene; clear written and verbal communicationTeam-oriented, coachable, and proactive about asking for help when neededAble to support users with varied skill levels, work independently or on a project team, make sound decisions under pressure, and spot trends to recommend preventive improvementsRelevant certifications a plus (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco)
