The Senior Engineer, Mechanical participates in a team environment consisting of engineers and designers to produce construction documents for the following systems : HVAC wet / dry, plumbing, controls and the like.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Performs engineering tasks ensuring systems for high technology facilities including cleanrooms, general manufacturing / process facilities and institutional facilities are safe from fire
• Work with other professionals to design and implement fire safety systems such as sprinkler systems, alarms, and emergency exits
• Coordination with disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring those other disciplines’ inputs are incorporated
• Support project on-site execution and make decisions to support projects and act as technical consultant
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff’s specific area of expertise
• Assists in developing studies and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by discipline team
• Works will include close coordination with the project team and other disciplines as well as other design offices
• Assists in the development of conceptual design, preliminary design and final design documents which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, the development of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, general arrangements and sequences of operation associated with these systems
• Other duties as assigned

Show your expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required
• 4+ years of experience
• Good time management skills, strong work ethic and attention to details
• Individual must possess strong communication and organizational skills
• Strong team player with an ability to build effective working relationships with individuals, department leads, and client representatives
• Energetic and self-motivated
• Works to build and maintain positive and productive working relationships both internal and external
• Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
• Nation Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Record preferred
