Collins is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our growing Civil Group in our Chicago, Illinois , office. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in diverse and exciting roadway / transportation engineering projects. Ideal candidates will have 5-10 years of progressive experience in the design and development of roadway projects, with a strong understanding of IDOT, Illinois Tollway, and local agency standards.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage a variety of roadway / transportation engineering projects from concept to completion.
  • Ensure projects meet technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and effective solutions.
  • Prepare and review project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers.
  • Adopts and implements in-house QA / QC program.
  • Is active in technical societies.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education and / or Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree and / or master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year university and a minimum of 6-12years' experience or the equivalent thereof.
  • Experience in the inspection and / or design of, but not limited to, bridges, roadways, railroads, marinas, and / or ports.
  • Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
  • Valid driver's license.
