EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) Manager
Eaton's Electrical Division is seeking an EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) Manager to join our team. This position is based in Santa Ana, CA. Relocation will be offered! The expected annual salary range for this role is $107,812 - $158,125 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What You'll Do :
Identify and implement overall site's strategic objectives around EHS by closely working with all stakeholders
Responsible for ensuring the Santa Ana sites complies with Eaton, local, State and Federal regulations around EHS
Responsible for key EHS leading (near misses, first aids, observations, positive interruptions, etc.) and lagging (total recordable case rate, days away case rate, greenhouse reduction, total waste, water, etc.) metrics improvement to achieve or maintain world class levels
Champion and lead zero-incident EHS culture throughout the assigned location by developing, maintaining, and communicating EHS targets, proactive safety management, and leading strategic EHS initiatives / projects
Lead and guide elements of the implementation of MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security and Health) via team leadership, program management and coaching to drive improvements
Enable data-driven safety decision making, data management and analysis through available tools such as MESH Suite to improve incidents, injuries and illnesses, environmental impact, risk assessments, and other EHS related actions
Foster employee and leader engagement through safety teams, MESH Champions, training programs, project management, communications, and other employee facing activities
Provide clarity and closure for all open safety incidents (injuries, incidents, spills, property damage & near misses, etc.) through diligent investigations, leadership reporting, system tracking / entry, appropriate remediation, and closure actions
Ensure effective internal and external compliance management via audits, compliance activities, permitting, documentation, and other regulatory requirements
Responsible for executing all EHS related CapEX
Responsible for developing EHS competency throughout the facility and professional pipeline
Oversee facilities management process and team
Act as site point of contact for federal, state, and local inspections pertaining to EHS, and ensures compliance with permits and other safety and environmental concerns
Compiles required safety performance metric data for the country specific injury / illness log and for reporting to government agencies and to Eaton performance metric measurement databases
Qualifications :
Required (Basic) Qualifications :
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution
Minimum of (5) Five years' experience working in an Environmental, Health & Safety discipline
Minimum (2) two years' Previous leadership or management of people experience
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
Preferred Qualifications :
Previous ladership experience highly preferred
Bilingual - English / Spanish
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental studies, manufacturing engineering, management / business, or a technical field
Experience in electrical safety or supporting employees working in a live electrical environment
First aid / CPR / AED certifications
