LTC Pharmacy Billing Specialist

Our pharmacy is currently hiring a Pharmacy Billing Specialist. The responsibilities of this position include :

• Data entry of new patient information and perform daily maintenance of patient records
• Prescription claim processing, adjudication, and resolving rejected claims
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party billing processes
• Initiate prior authorizations and follow up with nursing facilities
• Completion of daily census from nursing facilities including : admissions, discharges, and insurance changes on resident profiles
• Contacting admission directors at the nursing facilities and alerting pharmacy staff about potential admissions / readmissions
• Follow state and federal laws related to the practice of pharmacy
