Material Handler

Position Overview :

The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient movement storage and tracking of materials and products throughout the facility with primary focus inside the warehouse department. They play a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain by ensuring materials are readily available and properly and work orders fulfilled. This involves tasks such as receiving storing and distributing materials as well as maintaining accurate inventory records.

Key Job Duties :

• Pick and move materials from warehouse stock issuing to work orders supporting of production to meet production schedules;
• Ensure traceability and accuracy of materials lot numbers and quantities requested are scanned and noted on documentation;
• Maintain logs and complete issuing material using current scanning system.
• Report shortages and deviations to supervision do not move discrepancies to next process if unsure ask;
• Inspecting incoming materials for damage;
• Process internal returns by identifying label material packages and restocking;
• Assist in normal warehouse functions such as stocking shipping and receiving as well as cycle counts
• Maintain Warehouse tools and work area clean and organized;
• Have proactivity to voice ideas to improve material flow to serve internal and external customers;
• Transporting materials to different areas of the warehouse using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks;
• Unload materials from delivery vehicles;
• Must understand and comply to DWT security safety and company policies.
