We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Regulatory Advisor within our Rockies Stakeholder Relations group based in Denver, Colorado.
Essential Job Responsibilities :
- Develop and manage internal and external initiatives to reduce regulatory risk and enhance social license.
- Create multi-channel community engagement strategies designed to increase knowledge, foster exchange, and build relationships.
- Identify emerging trends and create plans to capture opportunities and minimize risk.
- Work with a wide variety of people and personalities, diffusing situations and accomplishing complex negotiations.
- Support in-person and virtual community meetings.
- Collaborate with teams to support permitting traditional oil and gas well locations and low-carbon technologies, including securing informed consent.
- Work with various teams and business units to resolve operation and production-related stakeholder issues.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of field tours and Oxy-sponsored events.
- Support to the Regulatory Permitting and Compliance teams, as needed.
Education :
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, Political Science, Business, or a related fieldExperience :
2+ years of experience in community or stakeholder engagement, carbon management, or oil and gas general field knowledge is a plusStrong computer skills using Microsoft Office and Internet applicationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsFlexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, multi-task, customer service environmentStrong ethics, service attitude, team playerStrong communication, interpersonal savvy, and listening skillsStrong problem-solving skills and self-motivationStrong attention to detail, record keeping, and organization skills with the ability to prioritize, perform, and track multiple tasks and projects simultaneouslyComfortable working in the field as and when required in support of projectsStrong project management, research, and reporting skillsStrong desire to learn and grow knowledge in line with responsibilities15% - 25% domestic travel is requiredExperience in community or stakeholder engagement, carbon management, or oil and gas general field knowledge is a plusDemonstrated ability to consistently produce results in a multi-tasking environment with multiple clients and stakeholdersQualifications
