We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Regulatory Advisor within our Rockies Stakeholder Relations group based in Denver, Colorado.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage internal and external initiatives to reduce regulatory risk and enhance social license.
  • Create multi-channel community engagement strategies designed to increase knowledge, foster exchange, and build relationships.
  • Identify emerging trends and create plans to capture opportunities and minimize risk.
  • Work with a wide variety of people and personalities, diffusing situations and accomplishing complex negotiations.
  • Support in-person and virtual community meetings.
  • Collaborate with teams to support permitting traditional oil and gas well locations and low-carbon technologies, including securing informed consent.
  • Work with various teams and business units to resolve operation and production-related stakeholder issues.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of field tours and Oxy-sponsored events.
  • Support to the Regulatory Permitting and Compliance teams, as needed.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, Political Science, Business, or a related field

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in community or stakeholder engagement, carbon management, or oil and gas general field knowledge is a plus
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and Internet applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, multi-task, customer service environment
  • Strong ethics, service attitude, team player
  • Strong communication, interpersonal savvy, and listening skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivation
  • Strong attention to detail, record keeping, and organization skills with the ability to prioritize, perform, and track multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in the field as and when required in support of projects
  • Strong project management, research, and reporting skills
  • Strong desire to learn and grow knowledge in line with responsibilities
  • 15% - 25% domestic travel is required
  • Experience in community or stakeholder engagement, carbon management, or oil and gas general field knowledge is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently produce results in a multi-tasking environment with multiple clients and stakeholders

Salary Range

Discretionary Bonus

$72,000 - $99,000

0 - 30%

*Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements may receive consideration for higher-level role given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
