Job Description

Our busy dermatology practice is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with EMR experience!

We are looking for a friendly, motivated, team player who is willing and able to travel to both office locations (Waterbury and Southbury).

Duties :

• Room patients, triage, obtain / document medical history and chief complaints in EMR
• Document allergies and medications and obtain informed consent from patients
• Scribe and assist provider during exams and procedures
• Assist in skin cancer surgeries, medical procedures and cosmetic procedures
• Prescription management
• Patient call backs with pathology results / schedule excisions
• Prior Authorizations and Biologics
• Clean and restock exam rooms / assist with inventory
• Sterilize Instruments
• Assist with any administrative duties such as answering the phone, patient questions and scheduling
