Health Information Management Specialist

A company is looking for a Health Information Management Specialist (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

Process requests for patient health information in compliance with state and federal guidelines

Ensure confidentiality of sensitive patient information and manage access to records

Perform record audits and analyze data to identify areas for improvement

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Associate's degree in business administration or a related field preferred; bachelor's degree preferred

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a healthcare setting

Experience with HIPAA regulations and understanding of auditing, billing, and coding initiatives

Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology

Comfort navigating within major EMR systems
