Description

Position Location : Norfolk, VA

Summary : Sheet metal mechanics are responsible for the layout, fabrication and installation of sheet metal parts made from sheet thicknesses up to 1 / 8 inch such as bulkheads, lockers, outfitting and furnishings and miscellaneous brackets. Sheet metal mechanics prefabricate, fit, install sheet metal structures in position for welding or riveting or other methods of mechanical fastening. Sheet metal mechanics prepare templates for fabrication of nonstandard parts.

Computer Skills : Must possess basic computer skills to enter data into different data basis.

Education / Experience :

Certificates and Licenses : Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check and obtain and maintain a security badge for all military installations and civilian shipyards as needed.
