Service Now Engineer Location- Erie, PA(Hybrid) Need local or near by states candidates Visa- Any Rate- $50 / h W2 Client- Erie Insurance ServiceNow Senior Software Engineer We are looking for a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Technology team. This role will be a key technical contributor responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining solutions across Integrations, IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), Asset, and Security domains on the ServiceNow platform. You will leverage your technical expertise to design scalable solutions, lead integrations with critical enterprise systems, and ensure ServiceNow is delivering measurable business outcomes across the organization. The Senior Software Engineer will have a strong understanding of modern engineering practices. This role is ideal for someone who is not only proficient across the ServiceNow platform, including custom application development, scripting, and integration, but also brings awareness of engineering tools and practices that support broader automation and integration efforts in an AWS first ecosystem. Key Responsibilities : Platform Leadership Act as a subject matter expert for integrations, CMDB health, and asset lifecycle processes. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical designs. Collaborate with Product Management and stakeholders to understand business challenges and deliver effective, user-centric solutions. Contribute to Agile ceremonies including grooming, refinement, and provide possible solutions across multiple ServiceNow products and modules. Stay current with platform capabilities, industry trends, and best practices, and share insights with the broader engineering community. Security & Governance Develop solutions supporting vulnerability response, security incident response, and compliance. Implement role-based access, data security, and platform governance best practices. Contribute to ITAM processes around hardware, software, license compliance, and cost optimization. Engineering & Development Design, configure, and develop advanced ServiceNow solutions with emphasis on ITOM, ITAM, Asset, and Security. Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems (REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, MID Server). Enhance automation capabilities for ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management. Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems and tools, ensuring seamless interoperability. Monitor and support deployed solutions, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability. Required Skills & Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience. Awareness of AWS engineering practices and ability to collaborate with cloud-native teams. Proven experience as a Senior ServiceNow Developer with broad platform knowledge. Strong expertise with ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Mgmt), ITAM, and Asset Management. Demonstrated success in designing and implementing integrations with REST / SOAP APIs and IntegrationHub. Solid understanding of CMDB data model and best practices. Skilled in JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, and related ServiceNow scripting. Knowledge of ITIL processes and Agile / DevOps practices. Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Extensive experience in engineering and operations, with a background in developing and managing a CMDB. Strong proficiency in custom application development, scripted REST APIs, Business Rules, UI Policies, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub. Familiarity with ServiceNow's Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and ITSM best practices. Experience managing code releases and deployments using scoped applications and automated pipelines. Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies and DevOps principles. Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, or integration tasks is a strong plus. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required; CIS in ITOM, ITAM, or Security preferred. Background in ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps) is a strong plus.
