ASSISTANT MANAGER OF OPERATIONS / JMH
EXEMPT FULL-TIME
FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE
SALARY RANGE : $42,000-$65,000.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS :
- Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks.
- Experience using computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Basic mathematical ability (e.g., addition, subtraction, division, etc.)
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Basic money handling skills (e.g., cashiering, reconciling reports, etc.)
- Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices (e.g., progressive discipline, performance management, personal training, etc.)
- Associate degree (preferred)
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Management experience in a multiple location environment
- Supervisory experience in a parking management company (preferred)
- Ability to lift minimum 25 pounds.
- Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record for the past 3 years.
- Internal candidates must have received a satisfactory rating of 80% or above on your last performance review and have remain in good standing (no disciplinary action in the last 6 months)
DUTIES :
- Ensures the safety, security and proper up-keep of assigned facilities by utilizing scheduled inspections, no-notice walk-through inspections and other established procedures.
- Monitors actions and performances of assigned and contract employees to ensure compliance. Take necessary actions to correct performance and document accordingly.
- Manages and inspects facilities revenue equipment.
- Schedules and assigns Parking Service Technician and Custodial Maintenance to garages and / or lots to meet expected parking demand levels.
- Assures that the needs of the customer are being met.
- Reviews daily reports prepared by personnel assigned to the facility.
- Coordinates all operational requirements pertaining to a facility (maintenance, security and daily requirements).
- Prepares daily deposits from monies collected by personnel assigned to the facility.
- Ensures the efficient operation of all equipment in garage or lot to which assigned.
- Monitors and orders the necessary supplies and materials needed for the facility.
- Prepares annual performance reviews for all employees in their assigned facilities.
- Lends assistance and supervises facilities personnel as required.
- Reviews revenue trend reports to ensure accuracy and to detect possible theft or inappropriate transactions.
- Ensures proper training of employees.
- Provides counseling to subordinates.
- Prepares facilities monthly reports.
- Responds to customer complaints and inquiries.
- Completes other related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Coordinates operational activities with Parking Department Personnel and with other City departments as needed.
- Responds to requests for services and other assistance from supervisors, staff and members of the public.
- Assures excellent customer relations with the public, City departments, and other agencies through delivery of quality service, prompt handling of special requests and satisfactory resolution of complaints.
- Provides recommendations on various staff matters including hiring, disciplinary actions and evaluations.
- Instructs and directs personnel in the proper methods and techniques for accomplishing assigned tasks.
- Conducts training on methods and on new equipment and enforces safety standards and safe operations.
- Performs other duties as required.
