ABOUT THE TEAM

The Finance team is a collaborative group of professionals dedicated to managing and optimizing Brahmin's financial health. Our responsibilities encompass a wide range of vital functions, including financial reporting and analysis, preparing annual budgets and monthly forecasts, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations. Team members work closely together to prepare financial statements, analyze economic trends, and support strategic business planning. This role is considered hybrid and reports to our corporate headquarters, located in Fairhaven, MA.

YOUR IMPACT

The Senior Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, financial reporting, preparing budgets and forecasts, revenue and inventory reporting, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, and assisting with audit preparations. To be successful as a Senior Accountant, you should have strong financial analysis skills and a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). An outstanding Senior Accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, able to work with little to no supervision, and adhere to deadlines.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Accounting and Reporting :

• Plays lead role in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and reporting processes. Prepares financial statements and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
• Analyzes balance sheet account activity. Review and present key findings to management and appropriate business owners.
• Assists in the preparation of cash forecasting.
• Monitors compliance with established internal controls over financial accounting and reporting. Ensures the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger system.
• Prepares analysis to support management initiatives and audit requests.
• Provides support for both internal and external audits.
