Remitly is hiring a Senior Corporate Counsel to draft, help negotiate, and implement agreements with a variety of parties in the remittance payments industry, and to provide regulatory advice to support Remitly's global products and services. You will be a key partner of Remitly's business teams, providing expert legal support on complex agreements that allow Remitly to move money around the world on behalf of our customers. You will provide expert legal advice on regulatory compliance, product and service development, and driving cross‑border expansion and licensing initiatives.

You will have deep experience with commercial agreements, even if those agreements don't necessarily cover payments. We are also looking for a candidate who is able to stay informed of evolving regulatory matters; develop an understanding of Remitly's business; and take on new and exciting work in a fast‑moving environment, even if it is outside of your prior work experience.

You Will

• Structure, draft, and negotiate agreements with key commercial partners including banks, payment systems, payment processors, and disbursement partners around the world.
• Provide regulatory guidance to product development, compliance, business, and marketing teams.
• Support and advise the government relations and compliance teams on regulatory engagement matters.
• Monitor and stay current with changes in payment related laws and regulations and advise on any necessary changes to Remitly's products and services.
• Manage and collaborate with external counsel in various jurisdictions as needed.
• Help support the business with other types of legal work, as needed.

You Have

The starting base salary range for this position is typically $184,000 - $205,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
