The Shift Leader (SL) is responsible for assisting the Management Team in all operations, financial performance, safety, quality control and staff management. The Shift Leader is also responsible to maintain a positive customer experience through customer interaction and the delivery of first class service.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and observe shift related activities of subordinates, and coordinate breaks, etc.
- Keep store management informed of day to day activities, and shift related issues.
- Train and properly onboard staff in Five Guys' standards for service excellence, store policies, food preparation, sanitation and safety procedures.
- Monitor and ensure staff maintain quality control standards for food and service.
- Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation; maintain records of stock. Ensure all food product is properly FIFO'd (First In, First Out).
- Manage some human resource-related issues for the store, including hiring, orientation, performance management, when directed be General Manager
- Own and monitor / manage Steritech and Secret Shopper programs for the store.
- Operate cash register, and monitor transactions including voids discounts, etc. While maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs, and work on feet for extended periods of time.
