The Assistant Manager (AM) is responsible for assisting the General Manager in all operations, financial performance, safety, quality control and staff management. The AM is also responsible to maintain a positive customer experience through customer interaction and the delivery of first class service.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff that prepare, portion and serve food.
- Train and properly onboard staff in Five Guys' standards for service excellence, store policies, food preparation, sanitation and safety procedures.
- Monitor and ensure staff maintain quality control standards for food and service.
- Manage financial performance and budget ($1-$2MM) of the store, including inventory control, supplies and effective scheduling of staff.
- Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation; maintain records of stock.
- Manage all human resource-related issues for the store, including hiring, orientation, performance management, discipline, timesheets and payroll liaison.
- Own and monitor / manage Steritech and Secret Shopper programs for the store.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs, and work on feet for extended periods of time.
