The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overall management of the store and has full oversight of operations, financial performance, safety, quality control and staff management. The GM is also responsible to maintain a positive customer experience through customer interaction and the delivery of first class service.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff that prepare, portion and serve food.
- Train and properly onboard staff in Five Guys' standards for service excellence, store policies, food preparation, sanitation and safety procedures.
- Monitor and ensure staff maintain quality control standards for food and service.
- Manage financial performance and budget ($1-$2MM) of the store, including inventory control, supplies and effective scheduling of staff.
- Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation; maintain records of stock.
- Manage all human resource-related issues for the store, including hiring, orientation, performance management, discipline, timesheets and payroll liaison.
- Own and monitor / manage Steritech and Secret Shopper programs for the store.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs, and work on feet for extended periods of time.
- Able to lead Store Marketing programs, including off-site visits, meet and greets, and community events.
