Key Responsibilities :
- Review and process ACDV disputes received via e-OSCAR within required regulatory timeframes.
- Review written consumer disputes received by mail, validate identification, and determine appropriate investigation paths.
- Research and verify account information using servicing systems, origination files, and supporting documentation.
- Identify and correct any reporting errors in accordance with FCRA §623 and company procedures.
- Document investigation steps, findings, and outcomes clearly and accurately in system records.
- Communicate and coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Loan Servicing, Loss Mitigation, Bankruptcy, Legal) to obtain necessary account data.
- Ensure disputes are responded to promptly, maintaining compliance with FCRA timelines (typically 30 days).
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive borrower data in accordance with company and federal privacy standards.
- Assist with tracking dispute metrics, trends, and root causes to support quality improvement initiatives.
