Contract Position - Animal Research Technician in Athens, GA @ 36372662 - Pay : $20 per hour

Position : Animal Research Technician

Duration : 12+months

Location : Athens, GA 30601

Pay Rate : $20 / hr on w2 without benefits

Work schedule : M-F 8-4 : 30. 40 hrs / week

Weekend OT required once a month

Duties :

• As vacancies become availalble, there will be a possibility of the assignment to be converted to a full time role
• Performs animal husbandry and health care in accordance with experimental protocol and Animal Welfare Act / Regulations, NIH Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, Guide for the Care and Use of Agricultural Animals in Research and Teaching, BI AH policies and Veterinary Sciences standard operating procedures, and the fundamental requirements for AAALAC accreditation.
• In addition, this individual assists with scientific procedures in accordance with study protocols, completes and maintains appropriate documentation associated with all job assignments, and provides equipment sanitation and facility maintenance.
• This individual will work in an animal research laboratory setting under Biosafety Level 1 and 2 conditions. This person may provide guidance to junior team members as delegated by the Site Veterinarian or Group / Team Leader.
