Cardiac ICU RN Job Details Location : Rock Hill, SC 29732 (South Carolina nursing jobs) Unit : Cardiac ICU (CVICU) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 20 / 2025 - End : 1 / 18 / 2026) Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,840-$1,980 per week Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Float Requirement : As needed within skillset (MICU, SICU, other medical units; max 4 patients) Nurse to Patient Ratio : 1 : 1, 2 : 1, or 3 : 1 Charting System : Cerner Scrub Color : Navy Blue ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (South Carolina or compact state) Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience (Cardiac ICU / CVICU preferred) BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Previous travel nursing experience preferred Strong clinical skills in cardiac and neuro critical care Cardiac ICU RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Cardiac ICU (CVICU) Monitor and manage patients recovering from open heart, neuro, and vascular surgeries, trauma, and medical overflow Perform and assist with advanced procedures : chest tube insertion, Swan-Ganz catheter, temporary pacers, cardiac continuous output, JP drains, central lines, arterial lines, tracheostomy, PEG, and G / J tubes Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Float to MICU, SICU, and other medical units as needed within skillset Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EHR system Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety standards Experience the best of South Carolina nursing jobs in Rock Hill—a city known for its friendly community, scenic parks, and proximity to Charlotte.
