Program Coordinator
This position will move the mission of Extension forward. Primary focus areas include development and management of 4-H volunteers, training and teaching of youth and adults, event management, community partnership building, and high-quality customer service. Major duties include meeting monthly with volunteer councils and groups, providing on-going enrichment and educational opportunities for youth and volunteers, and actively recruiting volunteers and families into the 4-H program. The position will be on-site at the University of Idaho Extension office in Gem County (Emmett, Idaho).
This position is responsible for providing day-to-day operations support to team members throughout the planning, implementation, and delivery of programs, and may serve as first point of contact for the unit. Duties may include :
- Serving as primary contact with program participants, customer service and office support functions
- Facilitating communication between program participants and managerial staff
- Coordinating arrangements for the program such as meetings, conferences, and banquets
- Collecting, compiling, and summarizing program data and managing records
- Maintaining program calendars and schedules
- May utilize University programs to create, review, and approval financial documents and to provide routine financial reports to the program administrator
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience :
Three years performing administrative, office, and / or program support functionsRequired Education :

Ability to occasionally travelAbility to occasionally work nonstandard business hoursMust possess a valid drivers license and be able to meet policy requirements for driving university-owned vehiclesAdditional Preferred :
Bachelors degreeExperience : teaching, training, or mentoring youth and adultsBuilding partnerships in communitiesUsing computer systems to complete administrative tasksManaging calendars and / or schedulingInterpreting, applying, and explaining complex information such as regulations, policies or servicesIndependently solving problems and performing liaison activities in a work setting and coordinating activities requiring complex arrangementsPlanning, marketing, conducting, and evaluating eventsProviding high quality customer serviceKnowledge of 4-H Youth Development practices, policies, and programsPhysical Requirements & Working Conditions :
Ability to lift, carry, and / or otherwise move items weighing up to 30 poundsPay Range : $20.35 an hour or higher depending on experience
