Position Overview

The Weaver position is a non-exempt, hourly position responsible for operating and tending textile air jet looms using knowledge of machine functions to ensure that good quality fabric is made. This is a Day shift position that requires you work 12 hour shifts 8 : 00am to 8 : 00pm with rotating days and weekends.

What you'll do

• Safely operate and monitor loom production per fabric style and yarn style.
• Ensure that looms are in good operating condition by periodically cycling / inspecting looms to detect any weaving defects.
• Work closely with the Loom Technician in order to improve quality and yield.
• Ensure selvedges are running per work instructions.
• Keep warm ends as straight as possible for optimum / quality yield.
• Remove any weft / warp ends and restart looms without weaving defects.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the area.
• All other duties as assigned
