Job description

Position Description :

The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for processing Accounts Payable invoices and disbursements. They are also responsible for assisting the Billing Coordinator with processing monthly client billings.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities :

  • Process Accounts Payable invoices allocating the appropriate costs / expenses to proper office and department
  • Maintain Accounts Payable files
  • Review and process weekly cash disbursements as directed
  • Enter credit card transactions and collect receipts from managers
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with our suppliers / vendors
  • Set up new suppliers / vendors in Microsoft Dynamics
  • Assist Billing Coordinator with processing monthly client billings
  • Other administrative duties as required and directed by the Senior Accountant
  • Providing backup support to Accounting Assistant on processing employee expense reports on a weekly basis
  • Provide backup support to Accounting Assistant on processing equipment logs for copiers, field instruments, company trucks, etc. on a weekly basis

Essential Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Experience working in an office environment
  • Desired Qualifications :

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related area
  • Accounts payables experience
  • Work experience with an engineering or professional services background
  • Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to clearly answer accounting questions as it relates to Accounts Payable
  • Exhibits excellent professional ethics
  • Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, stay focused
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word / Excel / Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Essential Position Requirements :

  • Ability to work additional and / or nonstandard office hours, as required

    The employee is occasionally required to reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 20 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

    Work Environment :

    Work is generally performed within an office environment where the noise level is usually quiet to moderate.

    Adherence to all health and safety requirements as detailed within our Health & Safety Manual is imperative.
