The estimated base salary range for this role is $125,000 to $155,000 per year. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors (salary may be adjusted based on geographic location)

Role and Reporting

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Marketing & eCommerce , the Public Relations Manager will develop and implement strategic public relations initiatives to elevate Armstrong’s brand and drive demand creation. This role will focus on building visibility, credibility, and reach through media relationships, content creation, storytelling, and strategic outreach. The ideal candidate will have a mix of creativity, strategic thinking, and strong project management skills to drive brand awareness, enhance the company’s public image and story, and engage key stakeholders, while effectively measuring the impact of their efforts.

  • What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies to increase brand visibility and enhance reputation.
  • Leverage PR to support AWI’s affiliate brand strategy and demand creation activities, ensuring alignment across channels and customer touchpoints.
  • Own and cultivate relationships with trade publications, media outlets, and press contacts to ensure consistent and positive media coverage.
  • Write, edit, and distribute press releases, maintaining a high standard of content quality.
  • Provide support to Corporate Communications team, ensuring internal and external messaging is aligned.
  • Create compelling content including op-eds, blogs, social media posts, and other communications to support PR strategy.
  • Develop key messaging and narratives that resonate with target audiences and reflect brand values.
  • Media Relations, Partnerships, & Influencer Engagement

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key influencers, thought leaders, and brand ambassadors.
  • Partner with the social media team to identify new influencers and grow engagement and impact on sales growth.
  • Evaluate and establish key industry partnerships to increase visibility in key market segments and audiences.
  • Leverage partnerships to enhance brand credibility and reach through collaborations, guest posts, interviews, and more.
  • Analytics & Reporting

  • Partner with Analytics team to measure the impact of PR on strategic business outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on key PR performance metrics including media reach, sentiment analysis, brand perception, and other relevant KPIs.
  • Use data-driven insights to continuously refine and improve PR strategies.
  • Brand Positioning

  • Ensure consistency in messaging across all PR channels, aligning with overall brand strategy and positioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PR efforts into broader marketing initiatives.

  • Proficient in digital marketing tools and PR platforms.
  • Experience with social media platforms and analytics tools to track performance and engagement.

  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in public relations, preferably managing a team.
