- Project Engineer II
- with a strong background in environmental remediation to join our Technical Services Organization. This mid-career role offers the opportunity to take on meaningful technical responsibilities, support complex environmental cleanup projects, and grow into a technical leadership role.
The initial assignment will be field-based at
- Naval Base Point Loma (San Diego, CA)
- , serving as Quality Control Engineer on a contaminated soil remedial action project. Candidates should expect significant fieldwork and oversight responsibilities during the early phase of this role, with opportunities to contribute to both design and project execution.
- Responsibilities include :
- Providing engineering support in project planning, field sampling, design evaluations, data analysis, and reporting
- Developing technical documents such as sampling and analysis plans, quality control plans, and construction completion reports
- Overseeing field activities including soil, surface water, and groundwater sampling, drilling oversight, subcontractor management, and remediation system operation
- Supporting proposal development, cost estimating, and regulatory submittals
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to CAPEs technical standards and procedures
- Collaborating with senior management to ensure projects meet client, budget, and schedule expectations
- Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering (ABET-accredited); advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in environmental remediation, including fieldwork, design / planning, technical writing, and quality control oversight
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in at least one state (or ability to obtain)
- HazWOPER 40-hour training (with annual refresher), valid U.S. drivers license, U.S. citizenship required
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Familiarity with CERCLA, RCRA, and federal environmental programs

- $90,000 $110,000 annually, based on experience
