As part of the Corporate Environmental Affairs Team, the Environmental Manager will be responsible for the planning, management, reporting, recordkeeping oversight, and permitting of environmental regulations for Enviva's current and future wood pellet and port facilities. The Environmental Manager will work closely with the EHS Managers at each of the facilities to execute the day-to-day management of the environmental regulations and report directly to the Environmental Affairs Director.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facility / construction site compliance with all federal, state and local environmental requirements for air, stormwater, wastewater, hazardous waste, universal waste, and etc.
• Manage environmental incident investigations, determine compliance, then escalate findings to management with recommendations for resolution.
• Assist in the management of onsite emission stack testing. Develop, deploy and monitor the environmental compliance matrix, records, reporting, and submittals.
• Develop, upload, track, and report progress of environmental training for employees.
• Assist in the documentation, auditing, and administration of environmental records for compliance.
• Administer and report on environmental assessment, compliance inspection and audit processes.
• Track and verify completion of site environmental compliance deficiencies.
• Manage permitting responsibilities with generating applications for all permits and assure permit fees are paid before deadlines.
• Work with third party vendors in relation to onsite visits and environmental audits with managing purchase orders.
• Implement and support company's operational excellence management system (OEMS).
