Probationary Period : 90 days - Full time, 120 days - Part time
FLSA Status : Non-Exempt (hourly)
Classification : Child Related / CA
Driver's License : Level 1- Class D Driver's License is required.
Rate of Pay : $17.31 - $19.47
Responsibilities
- Work in collaboration with Human Services employees, respecting and valuing the perspectives and contributions of each individual.
- Equitably maintain and process applications from Coordinated Entry.
- Market and rent Supportive Housing & Veteran Supportive Housing units.
- Explain / answer questions concerning residents' rights and responsibilities. Help them understand their obligations and potential consequences for failing to meet those obligations. Know the lease agreement, policies, and procedures and enforce them.
- Coordinate the move-in process; collect the necessary documentation, ensure eligibility, assemble the file, and schedule an appointment to sign the required forms, discuss / answer questions about occupancy rules, assist residents in arrangements for utility accounts, arrange a move-in inspection and hand out keys.
- Field and resolve resident issues / complaints. Respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- Provide accurate up-to-date information when requested by the Supportive Housing Coordinator.
- Handle and track all maintenance service requests.
- Return call promptly in accordance with policy.
- Picks up supplies and runs errands as needed.
- Document properly and ensure the safeguarding of all files and documents.
- Share responsibilities of consistently screening and initially certifying all applications; recertify residents as stipulated by policy and procedures. Calculate monthly rental payments.
- Compose and type routine correspondence.
- Counsel tenants in areas of rent collections and delinquencies.
- Encourages tenants to take care of units
- Counsel tenants on the Supportive and Veteran's Supportive Housing.
- Present information to the Supportive Housing Coordinator as required.
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism, observe protocol, and exercise strict confidentiality.
- Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
- Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers.
- Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community.
- Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
Qualifications
Valid US Driver's License required.Basic bookkeeping / accounting, filing, and general office skills required.Knowledge of computer input and retrieval; perform basic computer functions using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Demonstrates excellent organization skills are required.Ability to provide prompt resolution of problems and conflicts as they may occur is required.Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.Attention to detail and accuracy is required.Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation's Personnel Policies.Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.Some travel may be required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
