As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling access points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Position Type : Part Time Pay Rate : $17.75 / Hour Job Schedule : Day Time Sat 07 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM Sun 07 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM What You'll Do Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as participating in emergency response activities when appropriate. Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit in accordance with established protocols. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating relevant information to appropriate personnel. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns. Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and interactions in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures. Collaborate with site personnel and visitors to address questions or concerns related to security-related matters at the manufacturing and industrial location. Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any irregularities, hazards, or unusual activities encountered during assigned shifts. What We're Looking For Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Customer service experience is preferred. Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
