The big picture : Axios is a media company dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning news content in an audience-first format. We are hiring an Director, Client Partnerships to join our growing advocacy and associations advertising team in DC and will report into the Head of Public Affairs!

Why it matters : In this role you will work with new and existing partners to build Axios’ revenue through successful client partnerships, with a focus on building and nurturing relationships with advocacy organizations, non-profits, and policy-driven entities to expand Axios's impact in the advocacy sector.

This is a high-energy role with a hunting mentality that requires superior communication skills, ruthless prioritization, an ability to understand partner business priorities and develop creative solutions, and a proven ability to generate leads.In this role you’ll :

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with advocacy groups, non-profits, policy organizations, and related agencies and stakeholders.
• Act as a brand ambassador for Axios, representing the company at events and within the advocacy community.
• Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities to drive revenue and expand Axios's presence in the advocacy space.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of partnership initiatives.

Qualifications :

Starting salary for this role is in the range of $95,000 - $105,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills. This range does not include other compensation and benefits.

Note that the total compensation offered for this role includes incremental variable compensation based on sales territory, which is contingent upon the successful achievement of predetermined sales targets.
