Job Summary
Our client in Ann Arbor, MI is looking for an Automated Driving Senior System Design Engineer. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do
- Develop systems and applications for future ADAS for North American vehicles.
- Create business case and identify customer needs for ADAS through data-driven assessment.
- Engineer system / functional performance requirements and hardware / software requirements for integrating ADAS into vehicle platforms.
- Publish engineering requirements / specifications.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to commercialize high-quality ADAS into mass production vehicles.
- Design and develop software in Python / C++ on Linux.
- Perform functional verification to meet customer requirements.
- Propose new innovative ideas and ADAS development proposals to drive high-value technology features.
- Project manage schedules, open issues, and deliverables.
- Storytell data with clear visual reports and communicate proactively with stakeholders.
- Lead evaluation of features in simulated, closed-track, and public-road environments, managing KPIs and suggesting improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor / Master of Science in Computer / Robot / Mechatronics / Electrical engineering or equivalent.5+ years developing functional, system requirements for vehicle software applications.1+ year experience with automotive sensors (camera, radar).Experience with FMEA / FTA / DRBFM and root-cause analysis.3+ years strong software development in Python / C++ on Linux.Excellent project management, time management and prioritization skills.Experience with software design architecture.Clear presentation skills, written and oral.Experience building business cases for new innovative technology.Preferred
MS degree in relevant field.Experience in ADS technologies.Experience deriving technical specifications for automotive camera systems, HMI layouts.Experience with LVDS camera communication.Validate functional performance through evaluation, including design of data acquisition systems.How You Will Be Successful
