Oracle Database Administrator

Summary of position / daily activities :

10+ years of serving as a System Oracle DBA with a Bachelor's Degree or 12+ years with an Oracle Database Certification (Oracle Certified Associate or Oracle Certified Professional).

• Experience creating shells and SQL scripts for maintaining environment.
• Proven success in performance optimization for OLTP and OLAP applications.
• Analytic ability to make forward thinking database architecture recommendations.
• Extensive implementation skills covering a wide range of Oracle database solutions.
• Experience with design / implementation of Oracle RMAN backup solutions.
• Experience with Oracle migration options.
• Experience with configuring database security.
• Installation / maintenance of Oracle RAC with ASM.
• Installation / configuration of Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Experience with advanced diagnostics in troubleshooting issues.
• Ability to work effectively in a strong team-oriented environment.
• Ability to prioritize requests from multiple projects and support requirements.
• Self-motivated; taking ownership of projects and issues, including follow through to closure and resolution.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to details.
• Strong focus on internal and external customer requirements.
