Responsibilities

The PSG Engineering Lead is responsible for successfully implementing / supporting / managing various manufacturing platforms used for production in domestic and international locations.

The PSG Engineering Lead acts as the team lead for implementing projects.

Primary Job Responsibilities :

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :

• Successfully coordinate and schedule team members who are supporting various equipment projects, facility projects, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Provide leadership support for equipment installations.
• Participate and lead in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) problem solving and Continuous Improvement Kaizen events.
• Participate in emergency troubleshooting to expedite the plant's return to production.
• Lead sourcing and installation of critical plant support equipment (chillers, compressors, towers, vacuum pumps, grinders, and electrical infrastructure).
• Work with the plant teams to predict, plan, and execute field rebuilds of worn equipment.
• Define and execute plant support projects to satisfy internal customers (Plant Managers).

Job Skills :

• Plastic extrusion or injection mold experience.
• Familiarity with lean processes and continuous improvement tools.
• Strong project management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting aptitude.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Work autonomously and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to analyze risks and develop mitigation reports.
• Leads, monitors, and supervises engineers to achieve organizational goals.
• Ability to work within a team environment.

Educational Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Preferred
• 2-4 years Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plastics acceptable with experience.
• Equivalent experience
• Multilingual (preferred)

Preferred Experience :

• Read and write fluently in English and Spanish, as needed
• At least five years in a manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work safely in and around plant equipment
• Work within the plant climate conditions
• Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods in temperature extremes
• Position requires a full range of body motion - including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting, and the ability to mount / dismount industrial equipment and vehicle
• Ability to stand and be mobile for a minimum of 8 continuous hours
