About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including charge experience

License : Active nursing license in the state of practice

Certifications : AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP, C-EFM

Must-Have :

• Charge experience
• Ability to float between like units
• Availability to work every third weekend
• On-call availability of approximately 1-3 shifts every 6 weeks

Description :

The role involves providing care in a Labor and Delivery setting.

Responsibilities include antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and surgical care.

Nurses will care for higher-risk mothers on medications such as Magnesium Sulfate.

The unit features a collaborative team environment focusing on evidence-based practice and family-centered care.

Patient care involves a ratio of 1 : 1 to 1 : 2.

Couplet care is provided at a ratio of 1 : 3.

Care is provided for patients in labor, recovery, and postpartum stages.

Clinical skills required include administration of medications, monitoring fetal heart rates, and performing assessments.

Comfort with various procedures, such as C-sections and neonatal resuscitation, is essential.

Teamwork and effective communication are critical components of this position.

Flexibility may be considered for harder-to-fill shifts.
