Position Summary : As a Medical Office Assistant, you will support our providers in a medical office setting. You will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care while enhancing the productivity of the medical office. This position involves both administrative and clinical responsibilities and requires acute attention to detail, professionalism, and excellent customer service skills.
Education and Certification : High school diploma or equivalent is required, along with one of the following : completion of a Medical Assistant Program, Certification / Registration as a Medical Assistant, or 5+ years of related experience in lieu of being a Registered Medical Assistant. Candidates with 5+ years of experience as a Nurse Assistant or Certified Nurse Assistant with at least 1 year of experience are also encouraged to apply.
Experience : Previous experience in a medical facility is preferred.

Greet patients and prepare them for physician examinations following office protocols.Maintain current patient charts and document all medication samples dispensed.Oversee vaccine programs in accordance with State guidelines.Check and replenish medical supplies, ensuring exam rooms are prepared for daily operations.Report any malfunctioning medical equipment to the Office Coordinator / Practice Manager.Perform proper cleaning and sterilization of equipment, and assist with office surgical procedures.Execute EKG and Spirometry tests as ordered, and communicate lab results to patients, scheduling follow-up appointments when necessary.Prepare specimens for reference laboratory testing and instruct patients on proper specimen collection.Ensure medications are checked monthly for expiration and dispose of any expired medications appropriately.Obtain pre-certifications and arrange referrals and outside testing as directed.Maintain an organized work area and adherence to HIPAA and CLIA regulations.Participate in Patient-Centered Medical Home Care Team collaborations as well as float to other offices or perform additional duties as needed.We look forward to receiving your application!
