We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager - Spaceflight Hardware to join the team in the JETS II Contract.
The Project Manager will :
Requisition Qualifications : This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised. Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering and normally possess 5-10 years of related experience. Prior experience with financial reporting, including budgeting, forecasting and cost estimating. Experience with ISS flight hardware processing for spaceflight. Experience with NASA / JSC Class I flight hardware process and certification. Experience with Astronaut interface / communication. Prior experience with hardware anomaly troubleshooting and failure analysis. Familiarity with the Engineering Life Cycle process. Familiar with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures. Must be able to review Work Authorization Documents (WADs) to process Class I hardware for flight / testing support. Self-motivated, team player and adaptability to a dynamic environment and the ability to complete all assignments as required. Excellent oral and written communication skills and will be expected to effectively interact with customers and management at all levels. Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings. Must have the ability to visualize and work with complex mechanical / electrical systems and work with others in problem solving as part of a team. Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and schedules. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
Requisition Preferences : BS degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of ten (10) years of related engineering experience. Prior experience managing and leading a team. Familiarity with common hand tools and proficiency using them to perform assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting on mechanical systems.

Essential Functions Work Environment Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task. Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time). Equipment and Machines Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.). Attendance Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
