Pediatrician (Locum Tenens) - 24-Hour Call Coverage

Duration : February 2025 through October 2025

Shift Schedule : 7 days per month, 24-hour call coverage.

Key Responsibilities : Provide pediatric care in a critical access hospital, labor and delivery / pediatrics unit, and Level II nursery. Duties include attending vaginal deliveries upon request, attending scheduled and emergent C-sections, admitting / discharging newborns, admitting / caring for pediatric patients, and performing circumcisions. Required procedures include circumcisions, newborn resuscitation / intubations / UVC, and lumbar punctures. EMR used : Meditech. Support staff includes Level II nursery nurses, anesthesia, OB-GYNs, respiratory therapists, and local pediatricians for consultations.

Facility Details : The hospital has a Level II nursery, does not typically deliver patients under 36 weeks, and transfers complex cases (90 miles away).

Compensation :

• On Call Rate : $1,850 per 24-hour shift (includes 4 hours gratis).
• Call Back Rate : $210 / hour (after 4 hours gratis).
