Assembler 1st Shift

As an Assembler, you will hold a very important role in the Kings Mountain Operations (KMO) facility. In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing equipment to consistently produce a quality product in an efficient manner.

Duties / Responsibilities :

Setting up and performing simple and complex assembly / fabrication operations on bench, floor fixture, or progressive manufacturing line.

Performing tasks as outlined in the process work instructions.

Operating hand and / or power tools.

Perform inspections as outlined in the Inspection Instruction sheets.

Operate manual production equipment consisting of spot welders, mig welders, gas welder, plasma-cutters, sealer flow guns, spray guns, sanders, grinders equipment as appropriate for assigned areas.

Use various measurement tools.

Proper handling of Hazardous Waste generated by plant.

Upholding and maintaining the team-oriented environment with quality goals.

Performing other duties as assigned by Team Leader, Supervisor, and / or Manager.

Maintain a clean work area.

Education, Skills & Experience :

High school diploma and / or GED with basic math skills and reading comprehension

Basic understanding of industrial safety practices

0-2 years of experience working within a manufacturing environment is desired

Willingness to develop in alignment with the Volvo Way and the Code of Conduct

For this position, the base pay is set at $21.62 / hour, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
