Corrigan Corporation is looking for a detail oriented person who want to work together with our great team and make a difference.

• The Shipping and Receiving Technician performs a variety of shipping and receiving tasks : verifies materials received are as ordered and places them in correct locations;
• prepares equipment / parts for shipment-ensuring accuracy and safe delivery; coordinates with the Manufacturing Supervisor and Production Technicians;

and performs assembly of equipment as needed. This small company requires staff to handle multiple and varied responsibilities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Meets assigned targets for error-free shipments
• Meets assigned production targets
• Prepares customer orders for postal or freight conveyance, according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Selects appropriate shipping box and packing material
• Packs equipment to ensure safe delivery
• Checks items to be shipped against packing slip to ascertain that quantities, destination and routing are correct
• Uses Bin Cards to track inventory
• Receives and unloads incoming parts and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment
• Sorts, counts, packages, labels, packs, and unpacks inventory which is shipped or received
• Inspects shipments for damage or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and / or purchasing personnel
• Maintains and organizes adequate shipping supplies
• Prepares routine reports
• Safely operates dolly in loading and unloading supplies and equipment
• Safely operates the foam bag packaging system
• Acts as final Quality Control check visual inspection and count before placed in shipping container
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, continuous improvement objectives, and safety / environmental control standards
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned and assists in other areas as needed
• Performs daily and weekly cleaning duties, ensuring shipping area is organized and clean
• Performs quarterly inventory counts

BASE REQUIREMENTS :

• High school diploma or GED
• Good physical condition and able to lift 50 lbs.
• Important qualities : detail oriented, positive attitude, team player
• A minimum of one year of experience in Shipping & Receiving desired
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
