About You and The Role
We are looking for a world-class Supply Planner to join Ziplines Material Planning team. In this role, you will own and direct Ziplines ability to build what we need, when we need it.
In this role, you will work with other members of the Material Planning team, as well as the Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Warehousing and Quality teams, and in doing so directly impact our ability to scale our life-saving service from tens of millions to billions of people.
You will be responsible for a combination of Supply Planning, Purchasing, and Inventory Strategy.
What You'll Do
- Quickly come up to speed on Ziplines Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Logistics operations as it relates to your assigned Bills of Material (BOMs) and / or product categories.
- Proactively identify supply requirements in support of Flight Operations Consumables, and Service Parts.
- Own the deployment of inventory strategies, managing product change as components and subassemblies progress from the New Product Introduction (NPI) stages to the Production Validation / Ramp / Mass Production stages.
- On a daily basis, manage supply and constraints, supplier execution, supplier engagement and relentlessly pursue operational excellence and achievement in support of production.
- Determine the correct quantities of finished assemblies and input materials required to be held at various points in the global distribution network to support daily operations at our distributions centers.
- Navigate the dynamic environment of a rolling build plan.
- Monitor the integrity of the data in Ziplines ERP and take initiative for cleaning up inaccurate data by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proactively engage with GSM, Quality, and Logistics partners to constructively resolve issues.
- Publish weekly stock health reports and own Clear-to-Build (CTB) report providing visibility to materials supply, highlighting projected coverage and constraints.
What You'll Bring
- 0-2 years related experience in material planning, production control, materials management, production planning, supply chain management, or purchasing in a manufacturing and engineering environment.
- The ability to problem-solve and influence others through both data and strong relationships.
- Experience using data analysis to calculate Economic Order Quantities (EOQ) and optimize inventory levels as well as delivery costs.
- Proficiency in MRP systems (manual and automated), Excel skills are a must. VBA, SQL, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools are a plus.
- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on demand.
- Efficiency, with excellent planning skills, and unparalleled attention to detail.
