Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to assess patients' communication abilities.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on evaluation results to address speech, language, and swallowing difficulties.
- Implement therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques to improve communication skills, articulation, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, educators, and caregivers, to coordinate patient care and ensure effective treatment outcomes.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on speech and language strategies and exercises.
- Stay current with the latest research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
Requirements :
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Michigan.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with diverse populations and age groups is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
