Senior Civil Engineer

Job Description

Gedeon GRC is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our firm. This person is responsible and accountable for the supervision and the coordination of project teams to create detailed designs of civil projects.

Salary Range

$120,000 - $165,000 annually. Pay commensurate with experience.

LOCATION :

Options of Remote, Hybrid (local to the NYC Metro Area) or in office at our Syosset NY, Princeton, NJ or Newark, NJ locations.

Responsibilities

• ? Communication deadline dates set by clients and formulate teams to ensure deadlines are met.
• ? Develop detailed designs for urban and rural roadway / highway by analyzing material tests such as the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel, vertical and horizontal alignment, drainage, sewer, storm water management, pavement markings, signage, signals and MPT.
• ? Conduct facility condition surveys.
• ? Perform in-depth inspection of facilities for the development of design and contract documents.
• ? Maintain budgets for projects and ensure the projects stay within budget guidelines.
• ? Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, or material stress factors to determine design specifications.
• ? Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, or other governmental regulations.
• ? Identify environmental risks and develop risk management strategies for all projects.
• ? Review studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and plan for potential project impact.
• ? Provide technical expertise to clients and personnel regarding design or repairs.
• ? Participate in client meetings such as proposal, progress and completion meetings when necessary.
• ? All other duties as assigned.
