Senior Grants Administrator
Manages grants and sponsored research related administrative and financial activities with a focus on development and growth of research activities.
Job Responsibilities :
- Oversees and coordinates pre-award activities.
- Ensures timely submission of federal, foundation, and industry-sponsored grant applications and contracts.
- Responsible for grants and contracts processing.
- Oversees accurate completion and timely routing of internal paperwork and disclosures.
- Negotiates with sponsor as needed for contract execution.
- Maintains database and records to track activities.
- Oversees and coordinates post-award activities.
- Provides on-going financial oversight of grants and contracts.
- Maintains, tracks and updates effort tracking to ensure compliance.
- Works with investigators to manage budgeting process for grants and contracts.
- Manages payments of services and reimbursements of expenses.
- Responsible for preparation of standard and ad-hoc reports on expenditures and awards / grants.
- Forecasts expenditures and makes recommendation for corrective action.
- May assist with program specific promotional or outreach activities.
- Assists with growth and development of research.
- Creates growth plans for sustainability; strategizes with leaders to bring new studies.
- Manages onboarding and appointment process for post doctoral staff and graduate students.
- Manages and advises on the operation of research programs.
- Recruits, hires and supervises administrative and technical staff.
- Oversees and coordinates grants management and financial management.
- Serves as the point-of-contact and resource to staff for all research grant activities.
- Ensures compliance with institutional policies regarding systems access.
- Manages purchasing.
- Monitors expenses for correct allocation to various grants and funds.
Education : Bachelor's Degree
Experience : Approximately 5 years of experience in basic research administration.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Ability to foster smooth communication and teamwork.Proficiency in MS Office.Demonstrated excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.Licenses and Certifications :
