Patient Care Coordinator / Front Desk Coordinator
Summary :
As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support
to ensure smooth operations within the medical oƯice by helping patients through front
desk duties. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will contribute to
delivering exceptional patient care.
Education and Experience :
High school diploma or GED required
Essential Skills, Abilities, and Responsibilities :
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival at the medical oƯice
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, both in-person and over the phone
- Make daily confirmation and recall phone calls to patients to confirm and
reschedule appointments
Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance detailsand will also collect payments for services
Assist with medical administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and record keepingCoordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as necessaryAnswer patient inquiries and provide information about services oƯeredEnsure a clean and organized reception areaMust have a friendly, kind, and patient demeanor and personalityMust be detailed orientedMust be able to problem solveMust have computer proficient skillsMust be able to work closely with other departments to ensure a positive patientexperience
Must be willing to ask for patient feedback or online reviewsMaintain accurate records by following proper documentation requirementsMaintain practice confidentiality, follow legal, HIPAA & OSHA guidelines, follow the rulesand regulations of the practice as documented in the practice employee manual
Previous experience in a medical or dental oƯice setting preferredFamiliarity with medical terminology and proceduresProficient in using oƯice software and electronic medical records systemsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentAuthorize various transactions, such as refunds, voids, and cash drawer reconciliationsConduct cash and credit card transactions with patients and provide correct change andreceipts as needed
Count the cash and submit the cash, bank deposit, & supporting documentation to theleader at the end of their shift
Enter transactions into computer system, cash register or cash / credit receipt journal / logPlease note that this job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be

Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to various satellite locations asneeded for work assignments

Job Type : Full-time
Expected hours : 40 per week
Schedule :
Monday to FridayOne early morning or late night per week may be requiredPossible one Saturday a month, based on location (advance notice will be provided)Must be able to attend one monthly meeting before or after normal business hours(advance notice will be provided)
Must be able to attend one monthly training event before or after normal business hoursor on a Saturday (advance notice will be provided)
