Senior Accountant

BODi Accounting Position

Having just launched a new brand (from Beachbody to BODi), a new platform, and a new app where fitness and nutrition is supported by positive mindset content, BODi breaks from the fitness and diet industry and ushers in the era of Health Esteem. Health Esteem specifically rejects the legacy fitness and diet industry playbook of pursuing a healthy lifestyle based on self-criticism a playbook Beachbody used to abide by. But after observing the uptick in mental health challenges since the pandemic and seeing that 74% of Americans remain overweight or obese today, despite the efforts of the fitness industry, BODi had to make a change.

We are an exciting company in the fitness industry and this position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the development and growth of our organization. We are seeking a self-motivated individual to report directly to the Director of Accounting. In this role you will be actively involved in the financial reporting process, account reconciliation and will assist with the analysis and maintenance of numerous accounts on the income statement and balance sheet.

Job Responsibilities :

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Accounting team with general accounting functions.

• Preparation and analysis of material month-end journal entries including, but not limited to Technology, Fulfillment and Shipping expense.
• Manage complex accruals within these areas by working with business partners to identify aged accruals, write offs, and other related issues.
• Preparation of complex reconciliations in the areas mentioned above.
• Effectively interact and communicate with our Senior management, Technology, Supply chain, and FP&A teams to accurately reflect / communicate periodic operating results, provide reporting, solve problems and provide redundancy for the team.
• Analyze and interpret P&L and Balance Sheet fluctuations, including comparison to budgets, forecasts, monthly trends and clearly explaining drivers of the variances
• Preparation of footnotes and tieouts for our publicly filed financial statements, management reporting and other reports as needed.
• Preparation and review of audit requests as well as interacting with external / internal auditors.
• Develop, train and manage offshore resources which are considered members of the team.
• Assistance in establishing and maintaining internal controls surrounding the tasks performed as well as identifying risk areas and documenting mitigating procedures.
• Partner with offshore team to ensure deadlines are met.
• Ability to multi-task, organize and complete deliverables on or before deadlines.
• Manage and drive reducing complexity and automate manual accounting processes.
• Other ad-hoc requests as necessary.

The applicable base salary range for each role varies based on several factors, including, but not limited to geographic location and job-related education, training, knowledge, and experience. This range may be modified in the future.

The pay range for this position is :

$78,800.00 - $102,500.00
